The House of Poe

I recently visited Philadelphia, PA this past weekend and got to see the last remaining house lived in by Edgar Allan Poe....Needless to say, this was a dream come true. If you know me, then you know I adore Poe. This being said, imagine my delight as I walked in the house and into the rooms where Poe lived and breathed. I saw the study where he wrote "The Raven" and the bedroom where he slept. I also visited the cellar that he used as the model for the cellar in "The Black Cat." Of course Philadelphia holds many interesting sights being our first nation's capital, but for me, the delight was in Poe's museum. If you are ever in Philly, eat a cheesesteak and walk to halls of Poe's last remaining dwelling place.
